We are planning on visiting Disney from 6th Aug, my daughter will be turning 3 on the 10th August, do I need to get a ticket for her? Thank you

    Hi Rachael,

What a great way to celebrate your daughter's birthday! As you know, children under the age of 3 do not need a ticket for admission to the Walt Disney World theme parks. Because she will be 2 at the beginning of your visit, she will be considered 2 throughout your vacation and won't need a ticket.

Have you made plans for her special day? Maybe a character breakfast? Chef Mickey's has a special song for everyone celebrating a birthday. One of my favorites is a meal with Winnie the Pooh and Friends at Crystal Palace. Or what about dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table?

Make sure you pick up a free Happy Birthday button for her at any Guest Relations location. She will get lots of good wishes and maybe even some surprise birthday magic when she wears it.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Rachael. Please let us know if you have any other questions about planning your vacation and your daughter's birthday celebration. We're always happy to help.

    Enjoy!
