Hello, we are planning on visiting by April 2016, we are 11 in total 6 adult 6 children including my 6yr old girl with special needs wheelchair bound. I heard of "houses" that you can rent or what would be your recommendations for our stay?

Hi, Lorena!  The only houses I know of for rent would be off of Walt Disney World property, and I think with a special needs child, it might be easier for you to find accommodations at one of the Walt Disney World resorts.  This gives you access to resort transportation, taking you anywhere you want to go on Disney property, and they have buses, monorails, and boats that can all accommodate a wheelchair.

There are rooms that are specially fitted for guests with disabilities, so if your daughter needed a roll in shower or rooms with larger door openings, you can request a room with those features.  Make that request as soon as you can, though, as there are a limited number of rooms that are handicapped accessible.

Another option you can look into are the Disney Vacation Club villas.  These can accommodate up to 12 people (a three bedroom grand villa would be the choice there), with smaller villas that have two bedrooms, one bedroom, or are deluxe studio rooms (like a regular hotel room with a small fridge and microwave)).  The villas that are one bedroom and larger have a full kitchen, with a full size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer.  There are also a limited number of handicapped accessible villas, but all of the villas are very home-like and spacious, with plenty of room to spread out.

I hope this helps as you move forward with your planning.  If there's anything else we can help with, just let us know.
