I am planning on visiting AK in the morning (ADRs At TH at 8:05), heading back to the resort for a mid-day break then off to MK for MVMCP. Not sure if this would leave enought time to explore? I have 4 kids 6-1 so they can't ride much there.

    Hi Jessica,

I think that sounds like a great plan, especially with little ones.  Our family always seems to be done with Animal Kingdom shortly after lunch.  You probably won't necessarily see everything - even with small children, there are a lot of shows, and the walking trails can take quite a bit of time.  However, I think because the park is so large our family just gets tired out.

Make sure you ride Kilimanjaro Safari, play in the Boneyard, watch Nemo and/or Lion King, and explore Maharajah Jungle Trek and Pangani Forest -- those are the must sees for little ones (in my opinion).

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
