We are planning on visiting AK on 9/25/11, with DS 19 months and DD 4 yrs, what are some MUST DO's for the park??

    Hi Cindy!

Here's a short list of our family's favorites at Disney's Animal Kingdom:

Kilimanjaro Safaris--ride early in the morning to see more animal activity.
Maharajah Jungle Trek and Pangani Forest Exploration Trail--my boys LOVE seeing all the animals and are especially interested in the Flying Foxes.
Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo-The Musical--BIG favorites of my boys, both wonderful shows
The Boneyard--I'm sure your children will enjoy digging around for dinosaur bones just like mine!
TriceraTop Spin--we ALWAYS have to take a few spins while we're there!

Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade--lots of fun for the whole family!

Camp Minnie-Mickey is where you'll find the BIG Cheese and many of his friends!

Baby Care Centers are located in all the parks and are a place we frequent on our trips!

    Two words of warning:
DINOSAUR--a great, thrilling ride, but be warned, even if your 4 year old meets the height requirements it is pretty intense...GREAT fun, but pretty intense for the little ones.  Mine have yet to experience this attraction.

It's Tough to be a Bug!--is GREAT fun, but can also frighten young children.  If you want to experience the attraction, but are unsure if your little ones will be up for it, try sitting in the back row near the exits (they'll be across the theater).

    Have a MAGICAL vacation!
