Planning our 1st visit to WDW Sept 22-29. Looked at crowd calendars & see that crowds will be low. But when MK has am Extra Magic Hours, how busy will it really be? Also if AK closes at 5pm, is that enough time? Or do we go when they're open til 6pm?

Hi Holly - September is typically a great time to travel to Walt Disney World!  The weather is usually still hot, and the crowds have definitely thinned out.

If you think you'll make it right when the park opens, then I'd definitely go for Extra Magic Hours at the Magic Kingdom.  I've found that many people show up later in the hour, and it's less busy than I expect.  But, if you have a park hopper, you may want to leave the park after it gets busy.  But, it's generally not worth it to go to a morning Extra Magic Hour park if you aren't going to get there when it opens.

As for the Animal Kingdom, I think you are fine with the 5pm closing time, unless you plan to arrive later in the morning.  My family doesn't usually spend the whole day at Animal Kingdom.

    I hope that helps!
