We are planning to visit WDW in October, but will be staying at a relatives time share. Can we still use out magic bands for charging. I have received a lot of gift cards and want to know if we can load them on our magic bands..

    Hi Jacqueline,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so glad that you stopped by for help with planning your fall getaway to "The Most Magical Place on Earth!" With Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival going on, plus the brand new Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge open, October is going to be a GREAT time to visit!

Since MagicBands are reusable, you may absolutely use some from a previous trip to enter the theme parks, hop in FastPass+ queues, and link your Disney PhotoPass photos to your account, however you won't be able to use them to charge any purchases or open any doors since you won't be staying at a Disney Resort hotel. When they're used to charge purchases, they are actually just linking your purchase to your Disney Resort hotel room, so you will need to use a different form of payment for any purchases on this trip.

One tip for you...Did you know that it's possible to transfer Disney Gift Card balances of up to $1,000 onto one card? If you'd like to combine your cards so you don't have to manage as many of them, you may do so on the Disney Gift Card site by clicking "Manage Cards," then "Transfer Balance."

Thanks so much for stopping by, Jacqueline, and please let us know if we can help with anything else as you're planning your trip. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
