Welcome to planDisney, Virginia!
I appreciate you asking me this question, as Walt Disney World Resort is my favorite place to celebrate Halloween with my family. It breaks my heart to hear that your chosen night for
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has sold out, but I’d love to share some ideas with you so you can keep the magic flowing throughout your vacation.
When it comes to the night possibly reopening, it’s been a rarity this year. Even when my family went to one of the earlier parties in August, there were posted signs and an announcement made that the event was sold out. However, Walt Disney World will absolutely sell more tickets to the event if there are more available.
First, if you’re staying on property, as soon as you arrive, check with one of the Cast Members at
Front Desk Services to see if there are any available party tickets. Also, during your first day at Magic Kingdom Park or another theme park or
Disney Springs, visit Guest Relations as early as possible and ask a Cast Member about purchasing a ticket.
Also, of course, especially if the night you’re visiting isn’t Halloween (a very popular night as you can imagine), keep checking the website to see if anything materializes.
AN EXTRA GEM: It’s no fun to be left behind, so if you can’t join your family at the party, you can at least get a Magic Kingdom Park ticket for that day. Their Halloween Party tickets can get them in as early as 4 p.m. so you could spend those first three hours with them. Also, there are other ways to celebrate Halloween on property. So, in addition to the party, perhaps you all can have a family character dining meal at
Minnie’s Halloween Dine at Hollywood & Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
You have no idea how bad I want your dream to come true, Virginia. Hang in there, and if you have any other questions about your upcoming vacation, please
let me know here at planDisney.
Magic always,
LeAndra
