I am planning a visit to WDW in early October I was planning to buy my tickets at the Air Force base ITT but I just found out that the 4 day salute ticket expires at the end of Sept. Will I be able to get salute tickets at WDW? Thanks

    Carolina:

Disney announced that they will continue the Military Salute ticket for the 2014-2105 year. So good news!

Our family is going in late-October and I, too, found myself wondering how to get the new Military Salute tickets in a timely manner so I could make FastPass+ selections before we left home not to mention avoiding paying tax at a theme park ticket office.

When I found out that our nearest ITT at Keesler wouldn't get them in before our trip, I called Camp Pendleton's ITT, and they said their distribution office had started receiving the new tickets for the 2014-2015 year. You can place phone orders and have them FedEx you the new Military Salute tickets to you cheaper than paying tax. I would recommend this option if you want to make FastPass+ reservations before you arrive. (If you're staying at Shades of Green, you can order your tickets ahead of time through their ticket office.)

If you're not staying at Shades of Green and choose not to order in advance through Camp Pendleton, you can purchase the tickets from Shades of Green in person once you arrive. You do not have to stay at their resort to purchase tickets from them tax-free. But again, I recommend purchasing before you arrive so that you can link them to your My Disney Experience at www.disneyworld.com.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
