We are planning to visit WDW Christmas week 2013. Which hotel is a better choice. Boardwalk Villas or Bay Lake Tower. We are planning to visit MK 3 Days/ Epcot 2 days and Hollywood Studios 2 days. Traveling w/ 2 kids age 7 & 12.

    Hi Deborah!!!

I have stayed at both of these resorts and love them both!!!  You definitely cannot go wrong with either resort!!  The proximity that each resort offers to a specific theme park is unparalleled!!  It is amazing how close you are to the Magic Kingdom at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort and how close you are to Epcot at Disney's BoardWalk Villas!!  They both also offer unique modes of transportation!!

If I had to pick between the two I would recommend Disney's BoardWalk Villas.  The ride on the Friendship Boat to and from Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios is awesome!!  It is such a beautiful, relaxing ride.  The BoardWalk Villas is also decorated beautifully for the Christmas season.  I, once, had a balcony overlooking the BoardWalk Green and had an awesome view of the BoardWalk Christmas Tree!!!

Once again, I do not think you will go wrong with either.  They both offer their own unique atmosphere and are both wonderful!  I also believe your two kids will enjoy either one.

Please let me know if you have any other questions that I can help answer!!

    Have a magical day!!

    Scott
