Hey there, Scott. Welcome to
planDisney. I love to see fellow North Carolinians stop by the panel with questions. Waving hello from somewhere in our great state!
Scott,
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon is so much fun. You are in for a real treat when you visit. In fact, I love it so much I've driven 8 hours one way to have some fun in the Florida sun only to turn around and start the journey back home again.
I think you'll be happy to know that are
cabanas for rent at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon. These oases are called Beachcomber Shacks and will provide you and your party with the extra shade that you are looking for. Beachcomber shacks can accommodate up to 6 people and under your shady spot, you'll also find towels, cushioned seating, a locker, refillable drink mugs for your crew and ice water available all day. You'll also have an attendant on hand that can take any food or drink orders you might have throughout the day which is a separate charge.
To make an advanced reservation for the Beachcomber Shacks at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon you can call 407-WDW-PLAY. These are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you aren't able to snag a shack ahead of time, you can always check for day-of rentals at Singapore Sal's when you arrive.
I hope you have so much fun at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, Scott. Whatever you do make sure you don't leave without having the quintessential water park treat - mini donuts. They are hot, fresh and cinnamony-sweet. They just hit the spot, I promise you that!
If you have any other questions about this or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Have fun!
Jackie H
