Welcome to planDisney, Dana.
I'm so glad you stopped by with your question.
Kidani Village at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is a truly wonderful place to stay. Make sure you make a dining reservation at
Sanaa. The Indian bread service is very tasty! The pool area is gorgeous and possibly one of the nicest pools on property. It has a great splash play area for kids called Uwanja Camp. Your granddaughter will absolutely love it! And, of course, there are the beautiful animals on the savannah. I trust you'll have an amazing time with your family!
Dana, kids under three years old are considered "Guests of Mickey" and don't require a theme park ticket or park reservation. How awesome is that?! Children above the age of three need their own ticket. I know that's a bit vague regarding your situation since your granddaughter turns 3 during your trip. At this time, Disney doesn't require children to carry ID in order to enter the parks. Guests are expected to adhere to these rules using an honor system.
I hope you and your family have a magical time when you visit, Dana. Thanks for choosing to be our Guest.
Mike
