Hello, I am planning to visit from out of state for 14 days. What is the best ticket option? Should I consider an annual pass instead of a ticket for each day? Pros? Cons?

Hey there, Michelle, and welcome to planDisney!

I'm Maleficent green with envy just thinking about your 14-day holiday season sabbatical at the Walt Disney World Resort. But I'll still be a good sport and help you with your Theme Park Ticket dilemma.

I am absolutely terrible at math until it's time to crunch Disney numbers, and then I'm Sorcerer Mickey. With a trip that long, you'll definitely want to have the Park Hopper Option to keep things fresh. And if you plan to be in the parks each day, you're hovering around $2,000 per adult 14-day ticket, give or take a few DOLE Whips. If you intend to spend more than half of your days in the parks, it actually makes more sense to become an Annual Passholder. A Disney Incredi-Pass is currently $1,629 plus tax, though prices are subject to change. With perks like no blockout dates and discounts on food, merchandise, and rooms, I really couldn't tell you a single con. And besides, just think of the possibilities for the rest of the year! Work getting you down? Go to Walt Disney World. The EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival has an interesting treat? Go to Walt Disney World. You're tired of looking at your own house? Go to Walt Disney World!

Michelle, two whole weeks at the Most Magical Place on Earth sounds positively dreamy. Be sure to swing by Louisiana and pack me up in your suitcase. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back to see us!

    Happy planning!
