We are planning to visit Polynesian Resort to look round and visit Trader Sams. Am we able to eat at Oasis Bar & Grill as it accepts DDP or do you specifically have to be staying at the Polynesian and tap through a poolside gate to access it?

    Aloha Amy!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It’s so great to hear from you again!

Disney’s Polynesian Resort is such a beautiful resort to explore. I love how tropical this location feels. There are so many palm trees, and the gardens are lush and gorgeous. Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto is a super fun place to grab a drink and maybe even a bite to eat and relax. The inside is cozy, and the theming is whimsical and full of surprises. Last time I ordered my adult beverage in a souvenir cup. Every time I use this cup at home, it brings a smile to my face and reminds me of a fun experience.

Oasis Bar & Grill is also a great place to grab a quick bite to eat, and they offer some Hawaiian beer choices. Typically, this area is reserved for guests staying at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. However, since you are planning on eating there, I would ask the Cast Member that is at the pool if they will grant you access. If, for some reason, you can’t dine there, consider Capt. Cook’s and take your order outside to eat! Make sure to pick up a refreshing DOLE WHIP at Pineapple Lanai!

I hope that you have a magical time!
