Welcome back to planDisney, Miranda! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today.
You've planned your trip with such fun timing between the spooky season and the
holiday season! There is a bit of an overnight transformation between Halloween and November 1. On the morning after Halloween, you can usually expect to see Christmas garlands, wreaths, and window displays already up along Main Street, U.S.A., at
Magic Kingdom. The overnight holiday flip after Halloween is real, and it's so much fun to stroll in and hear Christmas music and spot peppermint-y touches where there were pumpkins the day before. That said, the Christmas tree at the top of Main Street typically isn't in place on November 1. In most years, it appears a few days later, between the first day of the month and the first
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
If seeing the big tree is a must and you only have one shot at visiting Magic Kingdom, I'd nudge your plans later in the week if you can. That gives you better odds of catching the tree once it's up and ready for photos. If your schedule is flexible, you could do a relaxed Halloween and November 1 visit to enjoy the early holiday touches and then pop back in a few days later for the full tree moment.
Either way, you'll still get a hearty dose of holiday magic on November 1, especially on Main Street, where the transformation shows first.
Have a magical day, Miranda!
