Planning to visit in Novemer 2022, family of 7. We have 2 adults/parents and children ages 9,11,13 going to the parks and 2 senior adults (ages 70 &72) who will just enjoy the resort and amenities. Where to I start and can we room together?

    Hiya Irene! Welcome to planDisney!

Planning a multigenerational family trip can seem like a tall order, but you have come to the perfect place to get started! First off, visiting during November is a great time of year to go. Walt Disney World is just starting to get in the swing of the holidays, and most parks and resorts will have decorations up by the middle of the month! And with the variety of age ranges in your group, there is a little bit of magic for everyone to enjoy!

Deciding on which Disney Resorts Hotel to stay at will be your first decision to make. Walt Disney World offers Deluxe Villas as part of their Disney Resorts Collection hotels, which feature 2 Bedroom Villas and 3 Bedroom Grand Villas. Each one of these options will be able to accommodate your large party and will give you enough space to enjoy the time you spend in your room. Since the two senior adults do not plan on visiting the theme parks, Disney's Old Key West Resort and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa are two great choices for your trip. Each one of these resorts has boat access to Disney Springs and a host of restaurants and shopping. In addition to the amenities and recreation options at the resort, they are just a scenic boat ride to additional options to fill up their day!

To get started on planning your stay, visit the Walt Disney World website and enter your anticipated travel dates and the number of Guests in your party. A list of resort options will populate for you to scroll through to view. Once you decide on a resort and room type that fit your stay, select this option and continue to the next page. Park tickets will be your next choice to make, but since you only want to purchase for five of the seven Guests, you'll need to select the "No Ticket" option here. You'll need to book your resort and tickets separately if everyone in your party is not visiting the parks.

Once you have confirmed your resort booking, head back to the main page and select "Theme Park Tickets". You'll be able to select the number of days you wish to visit the parks, along with any additional options you wish to add. The Park Hopper Option allows you to visit multiple parks in one day and the Water Park & Sports Options gives you access to any operating water park, golf course, and miniature golf course. Once you get your tickets squared away, you'll be able to link your resort and tickets to your My Disney Experience account to have them all located in one place!

Irene, I hope this information helps you get started in the planning process. You can also reach out to an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner to help plan your stay. They will take care of all the heavy lifting and provide you with all your options for your stay. Simply perform a Google search for these planners to select the best one for you. There is no extra cost to use an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. You'll pay the same amount for your trip as you would if you booked it yourself!

    Happy planning!
