Hi! Planning visit Nov. 2016 If we attend MVMCP are attractions open or will the party provide just enough time to attend the special events? Trying to decide what else we would do the day we attend the party and if we would still need 2 days at MK. Thanks

Hi Kristi! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I love visiting the Walt Disney World Resort during the month of November.  I have found the weather to be mostly comfortable and often times the crowds seem to be a bit more manageable.

    Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
is one of my all-time favorite events! Most of the attractions are in fact open during the party.  Attractions such as Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, and Dumbo the Flying Elephant often have shorter lines than what you would typically find during a regular operating day.  Now the one thing that I will say is that the special events that take place during the party are not to be missed. Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade and Holiday Wishes:  Celebrate the Spirit of the Season are my top two priorities when attending the party.  I do try to catch the parade twice if I can because I really love it! I have found the best time for the parade is the second showing, usually at 11:00pm (all times are subject to change without notice.)

When deciding if attending this party and having one additional day at Magic Kingdom Park is enough time, I really think it just depends on how much you want to accomplish.  When we attend the party we set out to experience 5-8 attractions (depending on crowd levels) and the extra events. We also make sure to save time for cookies and hot chocolate!

One last thing to note, it has been my experience that on party nights, if you have a ticket, they usually let guests enter the park at 4:00 PM!  These extra few hours also really help to give us that extra time to experience so much of the magic!

I hope that I have helped to answer your question. Have a wonderful time!
