Hi Jolene! It is great you are starting your planning now for the 2017 Walt Disney World vacation. There are many decisions to make and your lodging location is an important one.
Your deluxe resorts will be located as close to the theme parks as possible. There are three on the Magic Kingdom monorail system: Grand Floridian, Polynesian, and Contemporary. There are also three located within walking distance of Epcot and Hollywood Studios: Beach Club,, Yacht Club, and Boardwalk.
The moderate and value resorts will be located further away but all will have bus transportation to all parks. At this time most have dedicated buses that will go to the parks but sometimes depending on the hour of the day and time of year might share on the return trips to the resorts.
The All Star resorts will often share a bus and the Port Orleans resorts will often share. Even the Yacht Club and Beach Club will share buses at different times. When you check in ask about the transportation schedule so you are aware of the timing you will need to get to different locations. For instance the Disney Springs bus will not be stopping at Typhoon Lagoon first so give yourself plenty of time to reach Disney Springs if you have a dining reservation.
