Hi Nicola,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a question, my fellow international traveller!
I’m pretty excited to hear that you’re now planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida after visiting Disneyland Resort in California. I’ve had the chance to visit both Disney Parks and I can tell you that, while there are some similarities, there are significant differences between these two vacation destinations, especially when you consider that there are 4 Theme Parks and 2 Water Parks in Florida, versus 2 Theme Parks in California!
One thing that is similar, however, is the fact that you can absolutely buy Theme Park Tickets that will allow you to come and go between the Parks as you please. For the ultimate in flexibility, I’d highly recommend that you add the
Park Hopper Option to your
Theme Park Tickets. That way, you’ll be able to visit more than one Park, per day by “hopping” from one Theme Park to another after 2 pm. Please bear in mind, however, that the Parks in Florida aren’t within walking distance of each other, so you’ll need to use Disney Resort Transportation to get around.
My other tip? While staying “on property” at Disneyland Resort isn’t always necessary, I highly recommend that you stay in a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel during your visit. Not only will opting for one of those fabulous Resorts allow you to stay IN the Magic for your entire holiday, but you’ll also have several transportation options and other perks at your fingertips.
Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
