Hi, We are planning to visit in March and keep going back and forth between Caribbean Beach and Port Orleans Riverside. There are 5 of us with 3 boys ages 18, 14, and 11. I know Caribbean Beach has construction going on so trying to figure out the best.

    Hi Richard,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like we have a resort hotel dilemma. I am happy to provide some ideas!

At this time, we do not yet have a definitive end date for construction at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. With that in mind, here are my additional thoughts.

Disney's Caribbean Beach and Port Orleans - Riverside hotels are both beautifully themed moderate resorts that I love! At Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, the standard and preferred rooms come with two queen-sized beds and one child-sized pull down bed. The pirate-themed rooms include two double-sized beds. Given the ages of your boys, the bed size matters. At Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, each guest room has at least two queen-sized beds and some include a child-sized pull down bed.

Keep in mind that Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside includes bus and water transportation. The boat will take you to Disney Springs where there are incredible shops, restaurants and other activities. Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort includes bus transportation. Both resorts have quick-service and table-service options but, given that we do not know when the construction will end at Disney's Caribbean Beach resort, the resort may continue to have temporary dining options.

Richard, I trust that, no matter what your decision, your family will have a fantastic adventure!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
    Donyell
