Hi Juanita!
How exciting to celebrate your son's 7th birthday at the Magic Kingdom! If it were my birthday, I would choose the same location! There are character dining locations inside the Magic Kingdom such as The Crystal Palace which includes characters like Winnie the Pooh and Friends. Cinderella's Royal Table is located in Cinderella Castle with appearances by Cinderella and other Disney Princesses. Some boys love their Disney Princesses. Another popular nearby character dining location is Chef Mickey's, located at Disney's Contemporary Resort, and a short walk or monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom.
These character dining experience include meals with various Disney Characters who come around to each table. Your party will have the opportunity to interact with them, usually one at a time, and take photos and have them sign autographs. You can also order a cake ahead of time depending on the restaurant you choose. These restaurants are quite popular and accept reservations 180 days in advance, so you may have to be flexible on time and location. Though the characters themselves may not sing happy birthday to your son, he will still enjoy a meal surrounded by loved ones and his favorite Disney characters. Please visit the
Disney Dining page and select Character Dining to see all the different choices you have!
There are also many special experiences you can do with your son such as The Pirate's League, where your swashbuckler can receive a pirate transformation and plunder fer treasure! Another favorite birthday treat my kids love is being able to select whatever snacks they want! I give them a Disney Gift Card, and mom is not allowed to say, "no" as long as they have the money on their card.
Whatever you choose, I know your son will have a magical birthday! We hope to 'see ya real soon!'
