    I am planning a visit to the Magic Kingdom and possibly one other park December 23-30, 2017. My daughter will be 2 years, 9 months old at that time. Do I need to bring her birth certificate in order for her to be admitted to the park?

    Hi Tabitha!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your upcoming vacation to Walt Disney World Resort is right around the corner! You will be visiting Mickey at the most magical time of year, too! I love seeing the Magic Kingdom park all decorated for the holidays.

    Being a mom of a kiddo who is extremely tall for his age, I completely understand your concern regarding whether or not a birth certificate is needed as proof of your child's age for admittance into the parks; Mouseketeers under the age of 3 do not require a ticket! I can tell you from experience, I have never had a Cast Member ask me for proof of my son's age, and during our last trip he was 2 1/2 years old. Once a Cast Member did ask me his age and I told her, but it was no issue at all! With that being said, if you would feel more comfortable with a photocopy of your daughter's birth certificate just for piece of mind, I suggest bringing one along. In my opinion, the likelihood of being asked to see it is quite low but in the off chance you are, you'll have it ready!
