We are planning a visit to Magic Kingdom over March break with our 11 year and 1 year old. Wondering what the best option for purchasing tickets and is magic kingdom the best option for the children age gap?

    Hi, there!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Shannon. I'm so glad you stopped by!

Magic Kingdom Park is my favorite of the four theme parks at the Walt Disney World Resort. A day there is always magical! I think you'll find that Magic Kingdom Park is a great option for your family. There's a significant age gap between my oldest and my youngest kiddos, and they had an equally wonderful time during our last visit. Most attractions are family-friendly, which means they're perfect for Guests of all ages! We even took our 1-year old on Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion, and she was fine (she was too little to have a frame of reference that would frighten her). For attractions that our little one was just too little for, like Splash Mountain, we used Rider Switch. This service makes it possible for everyone else in your group to ride the thrill attractions without having to experience more than one wait time.

If you'll only be visiting Magic Kingdom Park for the day, purchase the 1 Park Per Day Ticket for everyone in your group who is over the age of 3. I recommend purchasing these tickets online as soon as possible so that you can begin to make your FastPass+ selections.

I hope this was helpful, Shannon. If you have any other questions about your upcoming visit, please let me know. I'd love to help you plan a magical day!
