Planning a visit to the Magic Kingdom early March 2016. Is there a best day of the week to visit?

Hi Kelly! Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Mom's Panel. I'm so excited about your upcoming visit to the Magic Kingdom. March will be here before you know it!

Your question is a good one, that's for sure...and we all wish we knew the answer! Like you, I want to plan my family's visits on days when we can make the most of our time and get the best value for our money. Unfortunately, the crowd size at Walt Disney World on any given day is really difficult to predict. We can be pretty sure that weekends and holidays are the busiest days of the week. But other than that, being in the Parks at less crowded times seems to take a little bit of luck and a whole lot of pixie dust.

One thing to keep in mind is Extra Magic Hours. Every day a different park is open for a few extra hours and available to all guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels. It is such a great way to enjoy the Parks when the crowds are smaller. I'll never forget one family trip when a few of our adult children went to Extra Magic Hours in the Magic Kingdom (they were from midnight to 2 A.M. that particular day.) They couldn't stop talking about how amazing it was to feel like they had the Park almost to themselves!

I hope this helped. Please let us know if we can do anything else to help you with your planning. Have a wonderful day!
