Hi we are planning to visit Magic kingdom on the 6th Aug 2011. I notice the park closes at 11pm, what time do the rides close and as that is a saturday is it likely to be very busy?. Is their a quieter day of the week in August.

    Hi Ann!

When a park is scheduled to close is when the rides close, meaning that the the lines to the rides close.  Typically if you get in line one minute before a park is scheduled to close, then you should be able to experience that ride or attraction.  Actually, August 6th, 2011 will be a good day to go to the Magic Kingdom because the Magic Kingdom had Evening Extra Magic Hours until 2:00 am the day before.  Typically when there are Evening Extra Magic Hours that extend into the next day, the Magic Kingdom is less crowded the next day because people who were there late will be resting.  I looked at the calendar for the Magic Kingdom and that Saturday looks to be the best time to go to the Magic Kingdom during that particular week.  Keep in mind that all of July and August are peak times in Walt Disney World so I would recommend arriving 30 minutes before the Magic Kingdom opens and ride the most popular rides at the beginning of the day.  For example, I would suggest riding Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Peter Pan's Flight, or Space Mountain first thing when you enter the Magic Kingdom.

I hope that your visit to the Magic Kingdom is truly full of magic and memories!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
