We are planning our visit 9/23/14 and have included the Deluxe dining plan. Many of the restaurants have no reservations available. Is there availability if you just show up at the restaurant?

    Hi Deborah,

Thanks for the great question and I'm sorry you're having difficulty obtaining Advance Dining Reservations. The short answer is ... sometimes, but I wouldn't count on it. I would continue to check online daily. Reservations typically do open up, especially as your trip approaches. Guests' itineraries will change and with several table service dining locations requiring credit card guarantees, guests will cancel their reservation when needed.

I've also had luck checking in with the Cast Members upon arrival at our Resort Hotel. Also don't forget about dining locations at the Resorts. I happen to think the meals are even better outside of the parks and are usually easier to snag. Check out locations like Kona Cafe, Whispering Canyon Cafe, Cape May, The Wave & Boma. All offer delicious menu options and will be easier to reserve than options within the parks. Downtown Disney offers Raglan Road, Portobello, Paradiso 37 and many more participating on the dining plan.

Let me know what other questions you have, Deborah. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

    Best wishes,
