I see that you’re planning your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth for later this summer. Looking ahead at the
Hours & Events Calendar is a great strategy, Vickie. This is something I always recommend so that you can keep tabs on what’s going on in the parks!
To answer your question, Vickie,
Disney After Hours at Disney's Hollywood Studios is expected to take place from 9:30 PM to 12:30 AM. The park hours have not yet been released for August, but there is a Disney After Hours event at Hollywood Studios coming up on April 29. The park hours are 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM on that day, with
Fantasmic! scheduled for 9:00 PM. Park hours are always subject to change, but this is a good indicator of what to expect in August as well.
With that said, if you would like to visit Hollywood Studios on August 19, there is no reason to avoid it. Although Guests who are attending Disney After Hours will be able to enter the park beginning at 7:00 PM, all offerings will be available to you until the park closes, including Fantasmic!
Having said that, if you would prefer to visit
Disney’s Animal Kingdom on August 19 and visit Hollywood Studios on August 20, that would work just fine as well. Long story short, in my opinion, you can’t go wrong either way. You should have two great days!
