We are planning to visit Grandma in Orlando sometime in January or February of 2014. We have non-expiring water park passes left from our last vacation. Can anyone tell me if BB or TL will be open during these months? Thank you!

Hi Erin! Although swimming in the winter months can be cold believe it or not in Florida, Disney will always try to have one of their great water parks open at all times. In 2013 they put Typhoon Lagoon down for refurbishment in the fall until January 5. Then they took Blizzard Beach down for its yearly refurbishment and opened that park again in March. The water is heated but it is the trek between slides and rides that can be a bit chilly especially in the early morning hours. I suggest planning mid day visits to the park that is open. The good thing about the cooler weather is that the parks will not be heavily visited making lines shorter.

Enjoy some Disney water park fun on your next vacation!
