Planning a visit the first week of December, but cannot afford tickets to MVMCP. Will we still be able to see the Christmas parade and special shows? Also, does the Electrical Parade run at all during this time? What happens at MK on non-party nights?

    Hi Cassandra,

You've picked a terrific time to visit Walt Disney World for the holidays, even if you won't be attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. The parks and resorts will be in full decoration, and you will find special holiday treats throughout. Many are free or included in your park admission, such as the Jingle Cruise at Magic Kingdom, Holidays Around the World at Epcot and the special events and decorations at Disney Springs and the resorts.

Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and Holiday Wishes are only performed during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party that week, however.

On non-party nights, Magic Kingdom should have its normal entertainment, including Celebrate the Magic and Wishes. You may have seen the recent announcement that the Main Street Electrical Parade is leaving Magic Kingdom in October. There's no word yet on a replacement, but I'm hoping something will be announced soon.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I hope I've help you with holiday ideas for your visit. Please check back with us if we can offer more tips or advice. Enjoy!
