We're planning to visit in Feb. 2010 with our almost 3 year old and our almost 6 year old. Second time to visit Disney World...hoping for advice on fun character experiences we should be sure to see.

Hi Jeffrey!  Each of the Disney World parks will have many opportunities for character meet and greets each day.  When you enter a park make sure you pick up a "Times Guide" to see where and when some of these greets will be taking place.

Beyond that I would suggest a nice character dining reservation during your vacation for your children.  My favorite is Chef Mickey's which is located in the Contemporary resort.  This makes it convenient to head to the Magic Kingdom from there or leave the park for a nice lunch or dinner close by.  For this dining experience you will most likely meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto!  A second choice and something completely different is Mickey's Backyard Barbecue at Fort Wilderness.  Here you will feel like you are truly in a western ho-down with a live country band and dancing characters.  The children can get up and dance the night away with their favorite or all of them.  They will also usually lead one or two aside to allow the kids to possibly get autographs and pictures.  I can guarantee some sleepy kids on the bus ride back to the resort.

The last suggestion is to try to head to the character greeting station at EPCOT for the opportunity to see all the major Disney characters. It is located to the right of the big fountain in Future World and try to get there are park opening before the line gets too long!
