    Planning on a visit with the family for MY bday in late January. Will any of the expansion in MK be open? Is there a timeline somewhere of when things will start opening? Thanks!

    Hi Jennifer,

    Welcome to the Moms Panel!  Love that you are planning to celebrate your birthday at the most magical place on earth!  Be sure to pick up a "Happy Birthday" button at your resort or at Guest Relations in the theme parks.

    The Fantasyland expansion is beyond exciting and I can't WAIT to experience all the new attractions.  Although no specific dates are given for the opening of the attractions, the new parts of Fantasyland are scheduled to open in phases beginning in late 2012. However, they haven't stated which attractions will open first.

    For updates on this awesome project, keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog.  There have been a few updates lately including one today on the Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid attraction.  If you're on twitter, follow @DisneyParks and @WaltDisneyWorld.
