Hey there, Stacy, and welcome to planDisney!
May will be here before we turn around. There are so many plans to be made and so little time. Luckily, I'm on the case, and you and I will tackle this trip together. There are so many great ways to walk on the wild side for our tiny adventurer, and so many
Disney Resorts Collection hotels to choose from.
The Disney Resorts Collection hotel that appears to be the most central, at a glance, is
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. While it's a great resort with accommodations like Gran Destino Tower, tasty eateries like
Three Bridges Bar and Grill, and the fabulous
Lost City of Cibola Pool to splash in, I'd say you could definitely get your money's worth. But I'd suggest choosing your resort based on amenities, transportation, and the story you want to be immersed in. You mentioned you'll have a 5-year-old with a deep love for animals. I'd suggest exploring a Savannah View room at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. As far as I am from 5, I still felt my heart leap with joy when stepping out onto my balcony and seeing a giraffe or a wildebeest. They even offer
recreation and activities where your children will get to learn more about the animals on the property and observe them. Speaking of observation, a meal at
Sanaa offers a wild view as the large windows give you stunning sights of the savannah and its inhabitants beyond.
Inside
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, animal sightings are in no short supply. Just walking in, you could be met with
Winged Encounters featuring the most fantastic flock you've ever seen. You have to take the little one on
Kilimanjaro Safaris to see all the crocodiles, lions, and rhinos that you can. And of course, check out some familiar friends like Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde in
Zootopia: Better Together underneath the Tree of Life.
Stacy, I hope I've been able to help you today. If you have any other questions before May rolls around, please feel free to
come back for another chat!Happy planning!
