I am planning to visit during the 4th of July 2013. Are there any special events that I should be aware of, and what park do you recommend I spend the 4th of July in? We have 6 adults and 5 children (ages 4-13).

    Hi Ashlie!

I spent the July 4th holiday weekend at Walt Disney World a couple of years ago. We absolutely loved it. There will be special fireworks in the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Thus those parks will be more crowded than Disney's Animal Kingdom. In fact that weekend is one of the most crowded at Walt Disney World and there is a good chance the Magic Kingdom will close due to reaching capacity. If you don't mind the crowds, then I do suggest going to the Magic Kingdom; otherwise I would recommend Epcot or Disney's Hollywood Studios. Whatever you decide, plan on being there early and staying for the entire day. I suggest arriving at least 30 minutes before the schedule park opening. Disney does a great job of usually adding more live entertainment and shows when the parks are expected to be busy.

I hope this helps. Please write back with more questions.
