Hi Jennifer!
Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Choosing between
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and Christmas Day at Magic Kingdom is like choosing between two beautifully wrapped presents beneath your tree and deciding which to open. You'll want to open both!
A few years ago, my family spent Christmas week at Walt Disney World. We attended Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and later in the week we played in Magic Kingdom on Christmas Day. Both days were over-the-top jolly and joyful. Even though there were some entertainment elements in common such as Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and Holiday Wishes fireworks, I am so grateful we made plans for both days.
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party offers character greetings, live entertainment, treats and eats, and activities that are distinct and exclusive to the party. I find there is so much to enjoy that it's helpful — even essential — to make a list and check it twice to plan as much merriment as possible. Dazzle and delight abound. I'm sure Mickey and Santa are planning the details for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, so while I don't have the specifics for the upcoming holiday fun fete, I can say for sure that you should join the party if you have the chance!
Christmas Day at Magic Kingdom is also a unique experience, and one that I cherished. Of course the Magic Kingdom is always magical, but there is just something indescribable about being there on Christmas Day. Yes, you're surrounded by more Guests than most days, but everyone is sharing that Christmas Day magic together.
So Jennifer, I think your idea to both purchase a ticket to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and visit Magic Kingdom on Christmas Day is a perfect present from you to you.
Enjoy your Disney!
Jerry
