Planning 1st visit to DL11/4-11/8. Last year weekday hrs were 10am-8 pm. Does this mean shorter lines/lower crowds? Will this be too early to see holiday decorations? Will Small World and HM be closed for holiday overlay? WDW vets-DL newbies :) Thanks!!

    Hi there Olivia,

Early November is a great time to visit Disneyland because the crowds will be lower than usual and the temperatures will be pristine.  You will notice the queues for attractions will be extra short because most of the visitors will be holding off until the end of the month for Thanksgiving break.

It's too early for me to determine the actual date for the start of this year's official Holiday Season at Disneyland, but I can tell you, from personal experience, that last year, the decorations began appearing around November 1 but the actual holiday-themed shows, parades did not debut until the second week of the month.  You may be able to catch Believe in Holiday Magic (fireworks) and A Christmas Fantasy (parade) near the end of your trip, but unfortunately, "it's a small world" may be down for placement of the overlay, as it usually doesn't open for the Holidays until mid month.

As a Premier Passport holder and someone who grew up visiting Disney World and later became a Disneyland aficionado, I am here to help make your first visit to The Happiest Place on Earth extra magical!  I understand being a WDW vet visiting DL for the first time! ;)  Please be sure to write back with any questions!

    Best Wishes,
