We are planning to visit DL for the first time on June 1&2 2019 with our 5yo and 20 month old. I am concerned about not getting in to the parks due to capacity with the Star Wars opening. Is there a chance we will not get in?

    Greetings, Tegan!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks so much for bringing your great question. Your magical trip to the Happiest Place on Earth is right around the corner!

Just like most Guests, I am SO excited for the grand opening of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in Disneyland Park later this week. This is going to change the course of history for the Disneyland Resort, and you are so lucky to be visiting during such an iconic time. Disneyland Resort knows how popular this new land will be and has been very specific about how many people are able to be in the land itself. During your trip, only Guests with a no-cost reservation are allowed to enter Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Hopefully this will help crowd levels since walk-up or standby Guests are not allowed inside Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge until after June 23, 2019. My advice during any popular time is to arrive early to the parks in the morning so you will have a better chance of entering if the parks do reach capacity. Plus, this is usually when little ones tend to be on their best behavior after a good night's rest! You will also usually see the shortest wait times in the morning which is great when you have toddlers and preschoolers in tow.

There will be so many fun and exciting attractions and entertainment options between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park that your entire family can enjoy together. Know that any attraction without a height requirement is family-friendly and safe for even the littlest Guests. You'll want to check the Daily Events Schedule online before you arrive to make sure you save time for your must-do's. I also suggest downloading the Disneyland app before you leave to familiarize yourself with park maps, attractions, and dining locations. When you arrive you can use the app to check attraction wait times, Character locations, and you can even mobile order food at select Quick Service restaurants.

I hope this helps, and May the Force Be with You on your vacation!
