We are planning to visit Disneyworld in December 2008, and this will be our first trip to Disney. My son will be 4. Can you give me some advice on how to plan our trip, best deals, and some ideas on some attractions that my 4 year old son might enjoy?

Hey there Brandy!  As far as planning tips, you're doing great by visiting the Moms Panel and reading up.  Have you already made dining reservations?  If not you'll want to do that right away by calling 407-WDW-DINE.  You should have a rough schedule of which parks you'll be visiting on which days so that you can determine where those dining reservations should be made.

As far as finding the best deals, be sure to check out mousesavers.  It's a website (you can Google it for the exact URL) that publishes timely information on resort specials, rental car discount codes, and tons of other money saving tips.

At 4, your son probably really enjoy Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom.  That's where he can experience attractions that feature beloved Disney characters like Pooh and Peter Pan.  The Buzz Lightyear attraction will also be a good bet and it's located in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom.  Be sure to visit the Playhouse Disney show at the Hollywood Studios where he can dance to his heart's content with familiar faces from some of Disney's hit shows.  At Animal Kingdom the lively performers over at Festival of the Lion King will probably captivate his attention as will the Turtle Talk with Crush experience over at Epcot.  Of course the loveable life-size characters throughout the resort will likely bring a smile to his face as well!  Have a magical first trip!

I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
