Disneyland Resort Halloween Mickey Pumpkin Decoration; Main Street

    We are planning a visit to both Disneyland Parks in the second half of October 2024. I read that the opening hours are shorter at that time. Can you please tell me what the opening hours will be, and if any attractions will be closed?

    As a former Melburnian myself, it's always so great to connect with Australians ahead of their trips out to Disney Destinations and it really is so important to be able to plan ahead and make the most of the precious days you have when you're over here! Having spent the past few Octobers over at Disneyland Resort, you're absolutely right that Park Hours do tend to be a bit shorter and biggest thing to keep in mind is that this changes quite a bit due to Halloween Time taking place every year:

    • An important thing to keep in mind is that the official Disneyland Resort Hours & Events Calendar is typically not updated until much closer to the date, so we're currently just a bit too early at the beginning of the year to have any details about opening or closing hours. Generally speaking however, you can typically expect Disneyland Park to remain open for longer with reduced hours at Disney California Adventure Park on days when Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party takes place.
    • We can however, look to historical data to have an idea of what you might be able to expect. last year for example, Disneyland Park remained open from 8:00 A.M. PST (Pacific Standard Time) until midnight, while Disney California Adventure Park closed at 10:00 P.M. PST on select dates and even earlier at 6:00 P.M. PST on Oogie Boogie Bash evenings for day guests. This might end up being similar this year if they decide to keep it consistent, but as offerings are always subject to change without prior notice, your best bet is to check back in again closer to your visit!
    I highly recommend keeping track of any updates on the Disney Parks Blog, especially around Halfway to Halloween when announcements are typically made about what's yet to come for this very special time of the year.
