Greetings David and a very warm welcome to planDisney! You’ve come to the right place with your question!
I love to visit “The Happiest Place on Earth!” with friends and family. But, for most of my visits to the Disneyland Resort, I'm traveling as a party of 1. And, I'm happy to report I've never had a problem riding an attraction alone. The best part about being alone at Disneyland is that you never feel lonely. Everyone is having as much fun as you and you’re able to enjoy a collective experience together. And, there is no place that sentiment rings true more than on an attraction. Whether you’re piloting the
Millennium Falcon on Smugglers Run, trying to escape a giant boulder on
Indiana Jones Adventure, racing through the cosmos on Space Mountain or speeding through Alps on
Matterhorn Bobsleds. You’ll be experiencing the rides as a group with your fellow passengers. So, even though you’re riding solo you’ll have a shared experience.
Plus, did you know that each of the rides I just mentioned has
Single Rider Service? This service allows you to spend less time in line and more time enjoying the attractions. Rather than waiting in the normal queue, simply ask a Cast Member at the front of the attraction for access to the single rider line. This service is also available at Splash Mountain and Star Tours the Adventures Continue. If you’re heading to
Disney California Adventure Park, make sure to ask for Single Rider at Radiator Springs Racers, Grizzly River Run, Incredicoaster and Goofy’s Sky School.
I hope you have a wonderful time on your solo visit to the Disneyland Resort! I think you may enjoy it so much you’ll want to come back and do it again!
