Hello, Stefano! Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question!
Oh boy, I'm so excited you're bringing your little sweetheart to experience the magic of Disneyland Resort! If your two-year-old is anything like ours was, meeting Disney Pals (including the ducks of Disneyland!), watching parades, and enjoying sweet treats will be the highlight of their visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. Your darling two-year-old is going to love it!
Before we get into my suggested itinerary my first tip is to make sure you and your family have a solid idea what your 3-4 highest priorities are before arriving to the parks. Spend time together looking at the
Daily Events Schedule to know what entertainment will be happening, as well as exploring the park maps in the
Disneyland app to learn what your little one might like most. Make your plan based on these priorities.
A Disneyland day is your day, Stefano, but I'll share a very general outline of how a day in Disneyland could look and what my two-year-old would pick - for inspiration! But stay flexible! And remember that entertainment schedules, as well as menu items, are all subject to change.
*Arrive to the main gates 30-45 minutes before the stated park opening time. Use these first couple of hours the park is open to ride your highest priority attractions.
Fantasyland is a solid choice.
*Have breakfast at
Red Rose Taverne (Mickey Mouse Pancakes!)
*Visit Disney Princesses at
Royal Hall in Fantasy Faire*Experience Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway and explore
Toontown*Board the Disneyland Railroad at Toontown station and ride to Main Street, U.S.A. station
*Check the Daily Events Schedule for potential parade showings
*If you have a Park Hopper Ticket, hop over to California Adventure Park and cruise right into my 2-year-old's favorite area - Cars Land! Trust me - you'll feel like you've stepped right into the movie
Cars.
*Stop by Candy Palace or Trolley Treats on your way out and pick out a sweet treat to conclude your magical day. (Don't forget some Churro Toffee Squares to-go!)
Remember, follow your little princess's lead throughout the day and take lots of breaks!
One last tip before I go, there's a super helpful tool in the Disneyland app that anyone taking a child to Disneyland should know about. From the map screen, select the "Filters" icon in the top lefthand corner. You will then be able to filter attractions by Thrill Factor, Age, Height Requirements and more. It's amazing! This feature on the Disneyland app, or the
Attractions and Rides Map on the Disneyland website, will set you up for a positive experience at the Happiest Place on Earth, because you'll be aware of what attractions might be upsetting or scary, as well as the attractions that are "no-goes" because of height requirements.
I hope this has been helpful to you in your planning, Stefano, and that you and your sweet one have so much fun immersed in the Disneyland magic. I'm so thrilled for you both to experience this magical place together - just as Walt intended. Say "hi" to Mickey for me!
TWO-ddles!
