Hello, my friend, and welcome to planDisney! How exciting that this is your family's very first visit to a Disney Park! Oh, boy! You are in for such a magical time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
I can understand that for your big, beautiful first visit to Disneyland Resort, you want to be able to experience all the magic you can possibly experience!
I checked the
Hours & Events Schedule for you and confirmed that, unfortunately, there are no parades scheduled in the parks for either of those days, but I did notice that
Mickey's Mix Magic with Fireworks are, at the time of this writing, scheduled to occur in Disneyland Park on Monday, February 17! That's great news! My family adores Mickey's Mix Magic! (It was the first Disneyland fireworks show my kids ever saw!) It's upbeat, fun, and, spoiler alert, includes a "Let It Go" snowfall. Very magical.
If you have a 1-park per day ticket, I recommend visiting Disneyland Park on Monday to experience the fireworks show and then visit California Adventure Park on Tuesday to experience
World of Color: ONE, which is currently on the schedule for February 18. Best of both worlds!
Although technically not a fireworks show, World of Color: ONE is an incredible nighttime spectacular on the waters of Paradise Bay. It's heartwarming, beautiful and, in my opinion, not to be missed! For a free viewing spot, join the virtual queue on the
Disneyland app at 12pm the day you're in the parks. I always set a reminder on my phone, so I don't forget, as I'm usually quite distracted enjoying the seasonal churro at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail cart.
I encourage you, though, to check the
Hours & Events Schedule on the Disneyland website as your visit gets closer, and even day of, for any updates, as entertainment schedules are subject to change at any time. The Hours & Events Schedule is an incredibly helpful resource, not only to provide an updated entertainment schedule for you, but it also includes attraction closure information, park hours, as well as any events that may be occurring during your visit. Make sure you've selected your specific dates and park at the top.
You also mentioned Disney World, which is similar in that it has its own
Hours & Events Calendar with all the fun happenings! Have fun exploring around - which I love doing even if I don't have an upcoming visit booked!
If any other planning questions come up, or if you'd like me to share more tips and recommendations for your first visit to Disneyland, please don't hesitate to reach out! I would be honored to help!
From the bottom of my heart, friend, I wish you the most magical visit.
