hi I am planning a visit to Disney world in 2021 and was wondering if anyone can help me figure how to plan the days out... this is my wife's first visit to Disney world along with my two youngest who are 15 and 10

Hey there, Matthew! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. There’s nothing better than planning out a vacation to Walt Disney World for the entire family.

I would absolutely recommend that you book a vacation stay at a Walt Disney World Resort. Between complementary Resort and Theme Park Transportation to Extra Magic Hours, Disney’s Cast Members will make your entire vacation extremely easy for both you and your family. If you’re looking for a resort recommendation, my personal favorites include Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

In terms of daily planning, I like to space out our Theme Park visits every other day, that way on our “off days” we can take advantage of everything that our resort has to offer including a visit to Disney Springs.

On each Theme Park day, I highly suggest planning your itinerary based on both FastPass+ and restaurant availability. Personally, I like to use a counterclockwise method while within a Theme Park to help plan, but honestly, there’s no secret method, this is just what works best for us. Oh, and if possible, be sure to book a trip to each Theme Park including Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. I’m almost positive that each member of your family will have their own favorite Theme Park.

As a final “tip”, check out the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant within Disney’s Hollywood Studios for lunch. I’ve always found this to be an excellent choice for families with first time visitors. But, be sure to secure a reservation as this is a popular destination!
