Hello Jennifer,
You have picked a wonderful time of year to visit the Walt Disney World Resort! All of the Parks and Resorts are festively decorated and overflowing with the spirit of the holiday season! My number one "must do" during this time of year is
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom Park. The "snow" falling on Main Street, U.S.A., Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade, and Holiday Wishes fireworks are truly amazing!
Disney's Wilderness Lodge is one of my family's favorite Resorts, and it's just beautiful during the holiday season. There's an enormous Christmas tree in the middle of the lobby and, in the past, Disney PhotoPass photographers have been on hand to capture photos that would be just perfect for a family Holiday Greeting card. You'll also find a huge fireplace surrounded by comfy chairs; sitting by the fire is a great way to relax after a busy day in the Theme Parks. You can also walk over to The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort (about a 15-minute walk) or catch a boat there. Although the Resort has its own decorations, you don't want to miss the Holiday displays put up by long-terms Guests on the campground loop.
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa has a giant Gingerbread House on display that offers homemade items like shingles and chocolate-peppermint bark. You’ll also find gingerbread ornaments and miniature gingerbread houses available for purchase. I also suggest checking out the Chocolate and Gingerbread Carrousel at Disney's Beach Club Resort and the exquisitely detailed Christmas Village at Disney's Yacht Club Resort.
I hope this information helps. Please visit us again if you have any additional vacation planning questions!
Magical Wishes,
Susan
