Hiya Anubhav - welcome to
planDisney!
I'm so glad you stopped by with your question for our team of panelists. We love to help Guests just like you plan your very own, very magical, Walt Disney World Resort vacations!
Disney After Hours is sometimes confused with other events and offerings, so I think it's a good idea for me to clarify and distinguish these similar Guest-favorite offerings.
Disney After Hours events are separately ticketed evening events giving you an extra three hours to experience some of your favorite Theme Parks. Currently, events are scheduled at both
Magic Kingdom Park and
Disney's Hollywood Studios, though others could be scheduled at any time. In addition to lower wait times for attractions, these events also typically include some complimentary snacks and treats!
To attend an After Hours event you will need to purchase a
separate ticket - your standard Theme Park Ticket does not include admission to these events. Guests
without After Hours event tickets will leave the Theme Park at that park's standard posted closing time.
Two other offerings also include extra time in the Theme Parks at no additional cost to select Guests! Guests staying at
Disney Resorts Collection hotels (and other select hotels) are eligible for
Early Theme Park Entry. If you're staying at a qualifying hotel, you'll be able to enter any Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park 30 minutes prior to the general public (who have to wait for the park's posted opening time). This is a great way to get a head start on your day, and is currently offered every day!
Guests staying at a Disney Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Resort (and other select hotels) are also eligible for
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours on select dates at select Theme Parks. These are not offered every day, but usually, at least one Theme Park will offer Extended Evening Theme Park Hours each week. The hours also vary by date and park, but are typically an additional two hours after the park closes to all other Guests. While there aren't complimentary treats, you are likely to experience lower attraction wait times, and lower crowds - a great way to end a busy day!
So, Disney After Hours is separately ticketed, while the other two offerings of additional park time are associated with staying at certain Disney Resorts Collection hotels, regardless of the type of Theme Park Ticket or Annual Pass you might be using for admission. If you're looking for other ways to add some extra magic to your vacation, I recommend also checking out all of the offerings from the
Enchanting Extras Collection!
