Planning to visit Disney World for Christmas 2014. Myself and my children have never been to Disney World. How can I ensure we get a great spot to see the Disney Parks Christmas Parade. We will be staying in downtown Disney and getting park Hopper Passes.

    Hello Deborah,

Happy Holidays! Wasn't the Disney Parks Christmas Parade great this year? My family always enjoys watching it.

Historically, this parade is taped several weeks prior to Christmas Day and nothing has been officially announced in regards to when it will happen for 2014.

However, traditionally, the daytime parade on Christmas Day in Magic Kingdom is Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, the parade from Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Keep in mind that the week of Christmas can be a very busy time and crowds will be at peak level, so getting your spot on the parade route could mean finding it about an hour to an hour and a half beforehand. It is totally worth it, in my opinion, though. This particular parade is phenomenal with its festive sights, sounds and smells!

Feel free to stop back by with more planning questions to make this first trip to Walt Disney World a magical one.
