we are planning to visit Disney world in April 2023, 2 adults and 3 kids under 8 years. Can we book a resort room for 4 adults and still use it for 2 adults + 3 kids? Please let us know. Thanks, Sneha

    Hello Sneha!

Welcome to planDisney! I'm excited that you are arriving very soon and will be experiencing some amazing events. In April 2023 we will have the grand opening of Tron Lightcycle/Run, the return of Happily Ever After, and the brand-new EPCOT Forever nighttime spectaculars!  There is also a good chance you will be able to attend my favorite, EPCOT's International Flower and Garden Festival! Keep an eye out on the Disney Parks Blog for updates.

Staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel has so many perks and is my preferred way to visit Walt Disney World. The information you gave me will lead to two different answers. If one of the three kids you have are under the age of 3 then you can book a Resort room for four adults as your under 3 years old child is not figured into the headcount. They must be listed in the reservation though as Walt Disney World must have a reservation for every person in the room so that everyone gets the same perks such as Early Park Entry

Now, if all of your children are 3 years and older then you will have to book a larger room. I did a quick search of what options will be available during your arrival date and found that Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney's Port Orleans- Riverside are one of the lowest-priced options. They each have what is called a "5th Sleeper" which is a bed that folds down from under the television that could be used for your littlest Mouseketeer. If I had to choose between those two excellent options I would choose Caribbean Beach Resort as it now has access to the Disney Skyliner in addition to traditional bus transportation. The Disney Skyliner can connect you to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios and you don't have to fold up your stroller! It will make your valuable time much more efficient. I see that there is a Special Offer for your arrival period with a great room discount! Act quickly as these are for a limited number of rooms! I would also make sure to secure your tickets and Theme Park Reservation as that week can be popular.

Have a wonderful time and you can reach out to me directly for more help!

We have traveled as just adults, with babies, kids, teenagers, and senior citizens. We have seen so many characters, eaten at amazing places, and consumed a ton of Dole Whips.
