Hi Robyn! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question! I'm excited about your upcoming summer stay at the Walt Disney World Resort! I'm happy to hear that your mom will be joining you on your trip!
When staying at a
Disney Resorts Hotel, you'll need to consider a few things before adding a Guest to your room. Each resort room sleeps up to a specified number of Guests. Make sure that when adding her to your reservation that you do not exceed this amount.
If you book your resort room as part of a vacation package that includes your park tickets, any Guest that is part of this reservation will be required to purchase the same
ticket package. However, if you book your resort room separately from your ticket package, you will be able to add your mom to your room reservation easily. The downside to booking your park tickets separately is that payment is required at the time of purchase and the
tickets will be nonrefundable. If you have to cancel your stay for any reason, you will only be refunded for any payments made toward your resort room and not your park tickets. The value you paid for your tickets can be used for future ticket purchases if you decide to reschedule.
Robyn, make sure to check out the new thrill attractions that have recently debuted or are coming to Walt Disney World this year.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind opened last spring and has been a welcomed addition to EPCOT. It's exciting and exhilarating all in one!
TRON Lightcycle / Run is debuting in less than two months on April 4th. This attraction is located in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom and looks like it is going to be an amazing ride!
I hope you have a magical visit, Robyn!
