We were planning to visit Disney Oct. 13-19th 2013 for the first time. My son will turn 5. Does anyone know whether this is a good time to go considering hurricane season, crowds, etc? Thanks!

    Hi Mary,

My family loves visiting Walt Disney World this time of the year.  The fall has fabulous weather with highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s.  You can also attend Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party which is on select nights in September and October.  This is such a wonderful special event which you can go Trick-or-Treating in the Magic Kingdom.  The crowds are usually low during this time since most children are in school, and it is still far from Halloween.  I think this is a the first couple of weeks in October is a perfect time to go to Walt Disney World, Mary!  Please let me know if I can help you further with your vacation planning.
