Hi we are planning to visit Disney land park on September 15 , I have a boy who is autistic with us .can we apply a DAS card for him before we go?

    Hi there, Xiao!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for stopping by with your question for us.

I’m elated to hear your trip to The Happiest Place on Earth is just around the corner! I love all the whimsical components that go into making trips to Disneyland Resort magical, and the Disability Access Service (DAS) is undoubtedly one of those critical factors in helping my family worry less and enjoy ourselves more.

As you know, DAS is a wonderful service for Guests who cannot wait in a traditional queue environment. Services like this one help make vacations as enchanting as can be for all Guests; for that, I’m so grateful. I’m happy to tell you that Guests are able to register for DAS in person by visiting a Guest Relations location in the theme parks or using the DAS Advance feature, as long as your visit date falls between two and 30 days. Yay!

After purchasing your theme park tickets and making your theme park reservations, you’ll want to set aside some time to meet virtually with a Cast Member. Please note that the Guest registering for DAS must be present during the video chat.

You must be logged into your Disneyland Resort account in which your theme park tickets and passes are linked. You’ll want to select the “Request Live Chat” option to begin the DAS Advance process. The live chat for DAS Advance is available to Guests between 9 AM and 8 PM Pacific Time.

After requesting the live chat, you’ll be placed in a waiting room. I recommend staying near your computer, and once a Cast Member is available for the chat, you’ll be notified to begin the registration process. Please be sure your device’s video camera works for this portion of the registration. If the registering Guest is under 18, a parent or guardian must be present with them.

After a few questions from the Cast Member to determine eligibility, your video chat will end, and you can continue the registration process with the Cast Member through a text-based chat. During this time, Guests may book return times for up to two attractions per day for their visit, subject to availability. Upon your arrival, you’ll be able to book new attraction return times, one at a time, during your visit.

Wishing you an enchanting visit, Xiao!
