Aloha, Geraldyn!
Welcome to planDisney and mahalo for stopping by with your excellent question. Geraldyn, see the line where the sky meets the sea? It calls me, which is why
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa is one of my favorite Disney Destinations to visit. We were just there in August for our third time. Geraldyn, when the magic of Disney meets the spirit of Aloha, you'll enjoy a very special vacation for your 'ohana indeed.
Geraldyn, your question appears to have gotten cut off, so I am not certain what specifically you are inquiring about regarding October and November in Hawaii. But let me share a few things about this time of year in Hawaii in the hopes that I might be answering your question.
Generally speaking, Hawaii has two seasons - summer and winter. October is right in between these seasons, so you can expect mild temperatures, like low 80s Fahrenheit during the day and 70s Fahrenheit in the evening, and the trade winds to be less. You might also be there during the start of the rainy season, so definitely pack your Disney poncho in case you experience some rain. Not to worry if this happens, however, as you can still enjoy
water activities on property as long as there isn't lightning in the area. Additionally, the
Pau Hana Community Room, where you can enjoy family-friendly activities, and many of the dining locations have indoor options available.
Also, be sure to download the
Aulani app to your phone and check the Daily 'Iwa. Life is the bubbles with all of the daily activities taking place at the resort, which you will find on the Daily 'Iwa.
In November, the temperatures are typically around 80 degrees Fahrenheit in the day but they get cooler in the evening, closer to 60 degrees Fahrenheit. You can expect more rain as you are officially in Hawaii's winter season. It's a great time to enjoy some of the incredible hikes on Oahu. I recommend the hike to Diamond Head, as it's one of my favorites.
Check with the
Holoholo desk at Aulani for excursions. They can help you book these for you during your stay so you can see all that the island has to offer. Also, November begins whale season in Hawaii. So not only can you see Nemo during your visit, but you may also get to see some of his ocean friends too!
Geraldyn, one other thing to know is that Hawaii's time zone is Hawaii Standard Time and it does not observe daylight savings that much of the mainland United States does. This means that in October, Hawaii is six hours behind Eastern Standard Time and three hours behind the Pacific Standard Time in the mainland USA. But beginning November 5, 2023, when daylight savings takes place in most states in the United States, Hawaii's time difference changes. It will be five hours behind Eastern Standard Time and two hours behind Pacific Standard Time.
I hope this may answer your questions, Garaldyn. If I surfed past what you were hoping to know, do stop back here again and I'll be so happy to answer your question. You can even send me a question directly and I'll help you out. Here at planDisney, we are your 'ohana. 'Ohana means family, and that means nobody gets left behind.
