Planning to visit Disney for the first time this August, was wondering with the dining plan if you can accommodate people that have had gastric bypass?

Hey there Sierra and welcome to planDisney. Wahoo! You are planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort. Enchantment and wonder await you as you journey through nostalgia and meet your favorite Disney Characters. Don't forget an autograph book and a black permanent marker. The characters like to give autographs with an instrument that is easy for them to hold.

Dining Plans are wonderful additions for most Guests and there are two available: Disney Dining Plan and Quick Service Dining Plan. There is no other plan for diners who eat less food. Personally, after having two people in my circle go through the procedure, consider ordering directly off the kids' menu (by letting your server know your issue), getting the Quick-Service Dining Plan, or no Dining Plan at all. There is so much food that comes with the Dining Plan that it may be more practical for you to pay for each meal.

If you are looking to book a Resort Hotel Package with a Dining Plan which requires everyone to be on the reservation to have a dining plan then chat with a Disney Vacation Specialist or your travel agent about options. It may be possible to get you a kids' Dining Plan versus an adult dining plan based on your special needs but that will limit you to the kids' menu.

Sierra, it will be a great visit. Be sure to stop by the front desk of your Disney Resorts Collection Hotel for a "1st Visit" button or at Guest Services at any theme park. Please feel free to write me back directly with any follow-up questions or for other Disney vacation planning tips.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
